Fundraising for Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Tarrant County

About The Ball - 2026 Cinderella Charity Ball
Proceeds from the Cinderella Charity Ball provide critical resources for the Arlington branches of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Tarrant County, supporting capital improvements to facilities and major operational expenditures. Significant investments are made possible through the Ball. In recent years, the introduction of the Mobile Clubhouse Experience has enabled the clubs to extend their programs to children beyond their Arlington locations. In 2023, the Kromer Branch completed renovations to create a Music & Youth Clubhouse, providing a space for fostering creativity and self-expression among young people.

Home - Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Tarrant County BGCGTC
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Tarrant County is a nonprofit organization that provides services ranging from after school care, summer camps, and a mobile clubhouse to youth ages six through eighteen.
As the oldest and largest club in Texas, The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Tarrant County serve over 66,000 young people each year, providing positive environments, supportive relationships, and opportunities to nurture success. The Boys & Girls Clubs aim to enable young people, especially those who need it most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. Every dollar raised during my campaign will help the Clubs continue to provide positive safe environments for the youth in our community

This year's Cinderella Charity Ball includes the second annual "CinderFella" escort program. Benjamin Chapa, son of Anna and Justin Chapa, is supporting my campaign as my Escort and as a CinderFella. Ben is a sophomore are at Arlington High School where he plays football, performs with the Percussion Ensemble, and serves as the sound engineer for the Colt Marching Band.
Ben will support my fundraising efforts and volunteer alongside me at the Boys & Girls Clubs in Arlington.
Ben has strong ties to the Arlington Boys and Girls Clubs. Not only was Ben’s grandmother (Ruth Kendrick Beasley) a candidate in 1979, his dad (Justin Chapa) was an Escort in 1999, and his dad's aunt (Terri Schafer Chapa) and cousin (Karon Chapa Zinsmeister) were also candidates in 1978 and 2014. Two generations of Chapa boys were members of the Arlington Boys Club in the 1970s and 1990s, including Ben's dad and grandfather (Roel Chapa). Notably, the original Boys Club near downtown Arlington is where Ben's great uncle (Robert Chapa) started his boxing career, going on to be a nationally-ranked Golden Gloves champion, a Junior Olympian, and now a member of the Texas Boxing Hall of Fame.
Today the Clubs often include gyms and sports leagues. These are important to me and Ben. While I hope to spend a lot of time in the art room, Ben is excited about being active with the youth.

Ben's CinderFella ticket sales and donations also support my campaign. We say the more the merrier when we are working for Boys & Girls Clubs in Greater Tarrant County.
